Wulumuqi Visit

Each year, we offer the opportunity for international visitors to immerse themselves in our school as part of their Australian experience. These visits provide ongoing opportunities not just for our guests, but also for our students who enjoy a cultural experience as they buddy up and learn alongside our visitors.

On the 7th February, 11 students and their teacher from Wulumqi in China arrived to spend a week touring our school. Our Year 10 students happily volunteered to assist our visitors and introduce them to the opportunities available at Gymea Technology High School.

After an introductory tour of our grounds and a welcome lunch, our Chinese guests spent the week integrating into Year 10 classes, experiencing a range of learning activities including challenging their buddies in the PDHPE beep-test and testing their algebraic and arithmetic skills in Mathematics.

As always, our Year 10 buddies were fantastic ambassadors for the school, and thoroughly enjoyed making new friends and learning all about their culture.
