Welcoming New Staff and Faculty Leadership

At the end of 2017, Kristy Dawkins was appointed through a merit selection process as Gymea’s new Head Teacher of English. We welcome Ms Dawkins to our school leadership team and congratulate her on her new leadership appointment.

Ms Dawkins is already well known to many students and staff at the school as she has quickly earned the reputation as a quality teacher of English and History, as well as Society and Culture. Her strong understanding of these syllabuses coupled with her art of capturing the confidence of her students as she leads them through their learning, has enabled wonderful Higher School Certificate results and the development of an engaging English teaching and learning program aimed at the continual improvement of English for all students. Her students thrive and succeed in her classes and within her short time as the Head of English at Gymea, she has brought together a very capable, enthusiastic and professional faculty.

We also welcome a number of new permanent appointments to our school.
