Zone Athletics Carnival

School spirit was alive and well at the Zone Athletics Carnival on Friday the 14th of June. Our school was well represented by  65 students who proudly represented our school, competing, supporting and encouraging each other. All students looked fantastic in our new athletics singlets and showed excellent sportsmanship while trying their best in their events. We had a number of excellent performances, resulting in 12 individual students and our 15 and 17+ Girls and 14 and 17+ Boys Relay teams qualifying for the Sydney East Carnival. Well done to all students on their behaviour and performances throughout the day. A special mention to Tyler Towns and Ashleigh Magaya who finished second and third in their Age Championship.

Congratulations to our Zone Athletics team. We are very proud of your successes and  more importantly, the dedication and great sportsmanship each of you showed on the day. A copy of all our students’ results can be found here: Zone_Athletics_Gymea_full_results
