Semester 1 Examinations 7-10

This term all students in years 7 to 10 will sit formal Semester 1 examinations in the school hall. These examinations  will be held for all core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography. The times shown below are writing times. All exams will also include an additional 5 minutes of reading time. The timetable is shown below or can be downloaded here: 2019-Semester-1-Exams

Formal examinations provide students with experience in an examination environment. This is a good way to build student skills and confidence as they move through high school to the HSC.

Students will be in their normal timetabled lessons when they are not sitting these exams. Students need to confirm with their teacher equipment required. Eg. for Mathematics exams students need a scientific calculator and a ruler.

In addition to these  formal examinations, other courses will conduct Semester 1 assessments during regular timetabled lessons. Teachers will confirm these dates and times with students.

If your child is sick on any of  these days, please ring the office in the morning on 9521 3244 so that arrangements can be made to reschedule their examination.
