Play Golf? Like to Eat? Come Along and Support our Students

Gymea Technology High School will be hosting a Fundraising  Golf Day which will take place on Friday, 6th March at Kareela Golf Club, 2015. Funds raised through the Golf Day and Dinner will go towards supporting students who will be undertaking a historical and cultural tour in 2015,  the centenary of the Gallipoli landings. As well as time spent in the major cities of London and Paris, the school has engaged a local historian who will escort the students through the World War One battlefields of Belgium and Northern France. This section of the tour is most significant, as students will experience first hand the stories and sacrifice of Australian men who joined the campaigns of the Great War. Students will also visit the sacred grounds surrounding Ypres and Amiens, where they will acknowledge fallen Australian soldiers who lie on foreign soil. Of particular honour, will be the opportunity for our group to stand at the Menin Gate, as the sun sets on the evening of 15th April. At this moment, and with the sounding of the Last Post, we will pay our respects to our country men who never came home.

This is a great opportunity to support our students while also sharing a social activity with friends, relatives and colleagues.
