Make Bullying History Foundation

On Tuesday 11 December we were very fortunate to welcome back a special visitor to our school,  Brett Murray, from the The Make Bullying History Foundation, who presented to all students from years 7-10 on Bullying. This special assembly proved to be a highly valued and extremely well received experience by all students, and a great opportunity for them to gain a better understanding of everyone’s role and responsibility in maintaining respectful and inclusive relationships each and every day.

Brett delivered powerful messages about:

  • the negative affects of bullying
  • how each one of us can make a big difference in overcoming and stamping out these behaviours
  • the contributing factors of bullying behaviours
  • understanding self-worth and goal setting
  • positive reinforcement of each individuals uniqueness
  •  tools to help students combat bullying culture

Brett shared current research about Bullying, which he blended with personal, honest and funny stories that really connected with our students. He also gave empowering tips about treating eachother with respect, helping and supporting each other and the difference this can make.

Congratulations to all of our students for being such a wonderful audience,  and a huge thank you to Mr Fallah, who organised this event.
