Australian Mathematics Competition

The annual Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was held on Thursday 27th July, with 101 of our top Mathematics students from Year 7 to Year 12 competing against students from across Australia. The competition allows our students to test their numeracy, problem solving and critical thinking skills by attempting thirty increasingly challenging questions in 75 minutes. These questions are not based on the curriculum, but rather allow students to use the numeracy skills they have developed throughout their studies to solve challenging problems and scenarios they may not encounter in their everyday studies.

Our students displayed commitment and resilience throughout the 75 minutes, working diligently throughout the 75 minutes to solve as many problems as they could. In early November, all students will receive a certificate and a report detailing their achievement.

Congratulations to all of our participating students on stepping out of your comfort zones to extend your skills!
