On Friday 7 February, the majority of our Year 12 students participated in the University of Wollongong Discovery Day. This invaluable experience allowed students to experience first hand a taste of university life, attend lectures and sample learning and courses offered by various faculties.
The wet weather did not get in the way of the program and the value that our students gained from the day in helping them work towards their HSC goals. Students thoroughly enjoyed the day and the experience of life as a university student, exploring the campus and meeting students from other schools. During lunchtime they got to enjoy great live music and a range of other activities that gave further insight into university life.
For many students this experience helped ascertain the kind of courses and degrees they might like to do once they finish their HSC. Many thanks to Mrs Hristodoulou for her work in organising this valuable experience for Year 12.
