In week 4 our eager Year 7 students left for ‘The Great Aussie Bush Camp’ up North at Tea Gardens to help them in their transition to high school. We all made it up there safe and sound, one bus making better time than the other. Our year 7 students had a fantastic time getting to know eachother whilst participating in fun activities such as the giant swing.
Everyone was encouraged to give it their best, work together, encourage eachother and challenge themselves. The focus of the camp was communication, team building and self-challenging. The staff at Tea Gardens were so impressed at the positivity, engagement and aptitude of our students with one staff member even stating that it was her best group she ever had.
The camp was a huge success as evident by the smiley and enthusiastic students who were exhausted on their return to school. Well done Year 7 and what a great start to High School.
