On a sunny Thursday at the end of Term One, Year 10 set off for a day of fieldwork and fun. As part of their Geography studies they investigated issues associated with urban growth and decline along the foreshore of Sydney Harbour from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour.
A variety of fieldwork activities kept the students engaged and entertained. We enjoyed a ferry ride around Sydney Harbour to observe and map different land uses along the foreshore, used water quality testing equipment to assess samples they collected at Circular Quay and visited Barangaroo to observe the geographical processes evident.
This interactive experience has assisted our students to see the theories and issues they are studying in Geography this year come to life.
