The Orangutan Project

Over the past two months Thomas Beaven, a Year 11 student together with a number of other students have independently organised  a fundraiser to save the endangered Orangutans of Borneo and Sumatra. The orangutans are an endangered species due to deforestation and poaching. Thomas raised $1,350.00 through the sale of chocolates.

Prizes were also awarded to students who supported the fundraiser. Yok won first prize, Erin second prize and Ms DiMaio, third prize. They are featured below with Thomas and Louise.

Congratulations, Thomas.
