On Wednesday 21st May a team of 6 students attended the ‘Heads Up’ Mental Health Forum to assist in bringing about some positive change in our community. It will allow the students to be a voice for issues facing young people today and look at some solutions.
As a follow up, two of our Year 9 students attended the Synergy Schools Conference held by Shirelive on Wednesday 3rd September which aimed to equip them with the knowledge and skills to help them deal with youth issues such as bullying, health, drugs, alcohol abuse and relationships.
As a result of the conscientious efforts made by our students our Student Mental Health Team were invited to present their ‘Mental Health Initiative’ at the ‘Be YOUnique’ Healthy Minds Expo held on Wednesday 8th October in Term 4.
The students completely captured their audience and were applauded by mental health Ambassadors from all over the world.
Congratulations to our team – Georgia , Matthew , Aaron, Nicholas and Bronte
