This is a crucial time for our year 10 students as they begin to explore their options for senior studies and the pathways that follow that. Building their long term goals and motivation towards these goals has been the focus of our new careers adviser Mrs Hristodoulou who has delivered relevant and engaging activities to our year 10 students to help them focus on what they need to do to plan for their futures.
Motivation is the key and in addition to the activities she is running, Mrs Hristodoulou has organised a motivational speaker for year 10 students for this Wednesday 18th June, 2014.
The motivational program called “Skills for Life Program” is presented by Paul Wade an ex-Socceroo player. Paul is a highly entertaining speaker who incorporates fun with very strong motivational and inspirational messages geared towards students. Paul has developed a way of sharing his life experiences with young people to challenge their thinking and inspire them to make positive life choices. Paul understands and has the firsthand experience to know that young people in school need to have their horizons broadened and understand how their interests are linked to careers.
The cost of the motivational seminar is $5 to be paid to the office. Please see the attached permission for detailing specifics of the in-school seminar.
