Representatives from the Priority Research Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition at Newcastle University visited our school on Tuesday 10th May to continue their testing of our students. Twenty five students were involved in a range of physical activity tests to evaluate their level of fitness.
These tests were the same tests they completed last year and each was required to wear a physical activity tracker for the duration of one week for the researchers to collect data. As part of this program, four of our staff members will also attend a training day at the Newcastle University to learn more about new strategies for improving fitness. The University of Newcastle will provide us with a kit of new sports equipment that will be used during PDHPE lessons as part of this program.
