To celebrate Mental Health Month the Gymea Technology High School Student Mental Health Group started the term by presenting information to students from years 7-10 about the benefits of positive mental health. This was followed by a presentation from representatives from ‘Headspace Miranda’ reinforcing the importance of mental wellness and support networks to all people.
On Friday 16th October, the Mental Health Team have organised a Positive Mood Colour Wheel Mufti Day to promote positivity amongst all students.
The mufti day, the lessons and the mood colours and ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ activity have served to further build student awareness of mental health with a positive focus on their own wellbeing. Congratulations to The team and to Mrs Garioch who saw a whole school event come together for both staff and students. A really positive day.
