On Thursday morning our indigenous families gathered for morning tea at the school. It was a chance for our indigenous community to build on friendships and strengthen their relationship with the school. Amy from Kurranulla, a local resource information centre, spoke about support for our community. Josh from AIME, a Sydney University indigenous educational support program, also spoke about the support offered to our students.
It was a very successful initiative. Thank you to Sandra Blackburn, our Aboriginal Education Officer and Mrs Julie Smith, Head Teacher HSIE for organising this event.
