Electives

Students in Years 7 and 8 follow a standardised, compulsory program of study. During Years 9 and 10 they are able to choose three new subjects from a range of elective courses. Currently the school offers the following courses:

Commerce, Visual Arts, Photographic & Digital Media, Music, French, Drama, Dance, Human Movement, Food Technology, Textiles Technology, Exploring Early Chilhood, Industrial Technology (Timber, Metals, Multimedia ), Graphics Technology and Information & Software Technology.

Year 11 and 12

   

Year 11 & 12 students have a very wide selection of courses available to them during the senior years. English is the only subject which must be studied for the Higher School Certificate.

Currently the school offers the following courses:

English (all courses), Mathematics (all courses), Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Senior Science, Economics, Business Studies, Geography, Legal Studies, Ancient History, Modern History, History Extension, PDHPE, Community & Family Studies, Food Technology, Hospitality,Business Services, Design & Technology, Information Processes & Technology, Software Design & Development, Information Technology, Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Dance.

Three of these subjects – Hospitality, Information Technology and Metals & Business Services – are VET courses offering the students dual accreditation towards TAFE entry and the HSC.

Our students also take up the opportunity to complete TAFE courses while at school, in a range of areas.
