Year 12 is a busy time for students as they study for the Higher School Certificate and make plans for life after school. On Tuesday 10th May it was fantastic to see our year 12 community come together for a presentation focussed on the different types of HSC support we are offering our students as well as planning for future post school pathways during this crucial time.
The presentations by Mrs Hristodoulou, Mr Marsh and Mrs Kay were most informative and well received.
- Mrs Hristodoulou, our Careers Adviser, spoke about applying for University courses, Colleges, Scholarships, and Vocational Opportunities. She outlined some of the ATAR special bonus point schemes, the schedule of workshops that have been organised to help our students and the importance of doing research.
- Mr Marsh provided valuable information about HSC accreditation, scaling processes, assessment, HSC examinations and the Academic Guidance workshops we will run for students to help them reflect on current levels of achievement, set goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Mrs Kay talked about various ways parents could support students at home.
Our Year 12 students are nurtured and supported through every step of their final school year and this information evening was one of the many forms of support offered to Year 12.
