Smiling faces and excitement best characterise our new year 7 students during lessons and in the playground. They have had a great start to high school and a very busy start to the year. Day 1 saw them involved in a variety of activities with their peer support leaders, navigating the school grounds, meeting teachers and making new friends. At the swimming carnival, they had a fantastic day participating in races and novelty events and displayed wonderful school spirit. The Year 7 camp at Tea Gardens gave them a great opportunity to come together as a group, forge strong friendships and gain further confidence with high school.
With just over 100 students in the year, their start to high school has been seamless after their participation in our Head Start to High School program last year. Mr Fallah and Ms Moir, (year advisers) are enjoying getting to know them as are their teachers. Everyone is making positive comments about their application and manner.
We will showcase the activities and experiences of camp along with their first term achievements at our Year 7 showcase evening on Tuesday 22 March. Further information will be sent to parents closer to that date.
A friendly welcome to all our year 7 students and their families!
