On Monday 23rd of November, as part of the Gymea Technology High School Transition program we were lucky to have 13 students from varying primary schools engage in our Extra Orientation Day to familiarise themselves with our school’s surroundings and give them a head start for high school next year.
Year 10 student helpers led the year 6 students through interactive activities and a fun ‘Amazing Race’ around our school. They day benefited both students and parents. Students gained knowledge about who and where to go to next year.
It was a highly enjoyable day for all the students and the year 6 students were happy to have made friends and mentors for their first year of high school. We look forward to seeing all of our Year 7 2016 next Thursday morning for Orientation Day!
