Our year 9 Food Technology students were lucky enough to attend an excursion to the Royal Easter Show on Tuesday 31st March. In class they have been learning about food product development and the process and key stages of creating new or modified food products from raw ingredients through to a final product.
This excursion was organised to complement student learning in class and give them the opportunity to gain a new insight on fresh food, nutrition and food product development. Students visited the Woolworths pavillion, saw displays of food products, chef stalls and learned about how a working dairy operates and the associated dairy foods produced.
This was a fun filled and informative day that was enjoyed by the students and staff alike.
