Creative Writing Workshops off to a flying start

On Wednesday the 27 July the first of a series of creative writing workshops was run in the library by members of the Sutherland branch of the Federation of Australian Writers (FAW).
Sixteen students were invited to attend, based upon their application and submitted creative writing. In the workshop writers discussed with them the source of inspiration and the basis of character creation. Time was spent creating characters and scenarios, which will be the basis of the next work shop.
Well done to all those students who were selected to be part of this pilot program. Your enthusiasm and creativity were praised by the workshop leaders and we are looking forward to your creative output over the next 8 weeks.
