The annual National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence occurs on the third Friday in March each year. On 20th March, students from years 7-10 participated in a variety of activities that were co-ordinated by our student support team.
The National Day of Action is an important opportunity for students, teachers, parents and the whole community to make a united stand against bullying and violence. This day provides a focus for schools who want to say, ‘Bullying. No Way!’
Our teachers presented important facts about bullying, ran group work scenarios that had students engaged in good discussions about bullying, raising awareness about such an important issue.
Some additional activities that students participated in included:
- designing posters with anti bullying messages
- designing bunting with anti bullying messages
- performing mini skits in Drama.
