A number of our year 8 students assisted our executive in visits to our local primary schools to talk about our school’s Open Night. The discussions focussed on what high school life was like at Gymea and why the choice to attend Gymea was a great choice.
Our year 8 students each visited a primary school that they each attended and the primary school students gained a valuable insight on life and learning at Gymea and why our year 8 students had chosen our school. Our year 8 students did a fantastic job representing our school and were well received by the younger year 5 and 6 students who had plenty of questions for them and an eagerness to find out more about high school and what Gymea has to offer.
The school visited were
- Kirrawee Public school
- Kareela Public school
- Oyster Bay Public School
- Gymea North Public School
- Sutherland North Public School
- Sutherland Public School
- Sylvania Heights Public School
Our thanks to the schools for making our young speakers so welcome with the visits.
We are not able to visit all primary schools but there may be students who are interested in looking at Gymea to consider for their choice of high school or may be interested in one of our gifted programs.
