Smiling faces and classes buzzing with excitement best characterise the start for our year 7 students after their first full week of High School. Their year advisers, Ms Osborne and Mr Fallah are both beaming with pride with what a wonderful group they have to lead and our staff are already echoing very positive comments about their application and manner.
The year group has grown in size in comparison to previous years but remains selectively small enough to maintain that familiarity across the school. With just over 120 students with an even distribution of girls and boys, the start for our year 7 students was seamless after their participation in the school’s after hours Head Start to High School program last year. Our students were familiar with the school, had met most teachers and already begun friendships before starting school. Our thanks to each of our parents for helping make the Head Start program such a successful program and one where our relationship, school with home, can continue to grow.
Our year 7 students will soon head off to camp where they will forge some strong friendships and further their confidence with high school. We will showcase the activities and experiences of camp along with their first term achievements at our year 7 showcase evening on Tuesday 17 March. Further information will be sent to parents closer to that date.
A friendly welcome to all our year 7 students and their families!
