Who are the movers and shakers in education in Australia? Who are the pioneers? The Educator, a national education magazine, shines a spotlight on 40 individuals leading the way in the field in The Educator’s annual Hot List.
The Educator magazine says “It’s an unenviable task compiling a definitive list of the true leaders in this space, given the abundance of excellent work being undertaken across the country to enrich the educational experiences of K-12 students. So we once again turned to readers, asking for your submissions as to who warrants a place on this prestigious list. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response that we received. It attests to the outstanding efforts of those working in a broad range of educational institutions across Australia. In the end, the team at The Educator selected 40 individuals, who are profiled.”
This year our School Principal, Peter Marsh, was highlighted in this national list for his leadership in two influential programs that contribute to student academic and wellbeing development.
The school’s revitalisation of learning spaces as the school’s Design2learn Project has created spaces that cater for the academic, social and emotional needs of students while meeting the essential skills of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. The changes don’t just look fantastic they are contributing to the growing success of the school.
Mr Marsh was also recognised for the highly successful year 6 to year 7 transition program Head Start to High School that brings students and their families into the school to engage in workshops and lessons after school hours. The program enables a greater sense of connectedness between the school, students and their families enabling a confidence and preparedness for the high school Journey.
Congratulations to Mr Marsh for gaining this acknowledgment.
