On Thursday, 1st December students and families are welcome to the Annual Dance performance. Our extra curricular dancers from years 7 to 12 have come together to present our school’s first full length Dance work “Out of the Box”.
The intent of the Dance Performance derives from the mathematics philosopher Henry Ernest Dudeney’s concept of thinking beyond what is clearly presented in front of you in the attempt to solve a problem. It is believed that the term thinking ‘outside the box’ was derived from Dudeney’s nine dot puzzle. Our production explores the notion that we can allow ourselves to be trapped into society’s ways of thinking, ultimately stunting our creativity. It is only when we can expand our minds and break through everyday walls, that we can have true perspective.
When: Thursday 1 December
Cost: $10 at the door (Funds raised directly supports the Dance programs)
Congratulations and thank you to Mrs Johnson for her work with the students in this performance and throughout the year.
