Congratulations to William B (yr 11), Elliott H (yr 10) and Ryan R (yr 9) who came 3rd in the finals of the Young ICT Explorers Competition on Saturday 13 August, at the University of New South Wales. This was a phenomenal achievement as there were teams from so many different NSW schools competing, including selective schools.
All projects submitted were assessed on criteria of creativity, uniqueness, quality, level of difficulty and project documentation. The boys’ project, called “project killjoy”, used artificial intelligence to solve the problem of students playing “HALO” at school. Their solution involved them hacking into any “HALO” games at school, killing off the players and terminating the game.
Well done to these boys and to Mr Huang and Mrs Korkidas for their encouragement, guidance and support. What a fantastic achievement. We are so proud of you!
