Thank you to all parents and families who attended our subject selection information evening on Tuesday 2 August.
Mrs Sarcia and Mr Liley presented valuable information to our year 8 and 10 students and their families to help guide subject choices for 2017, and the open night that followed was a great success. Our open classrooms allowed students and families to talk with teachers, head teachers and senior students to gain a good insight about Stage 6 courses to help them make the best choices for their year 11 and 12 studies. Not only did students and families have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the range of courses we offer, they also had the chance to speak to representatives from the University of Wollongong, Notre Dame University and TAFE about tertiary study options.
On Wednesday 10 August, our executive will interview year 10 students individually to discuss aspirations, strengths and interests as they chose their subjects for year 11 and 12. On Thursday 11 August, our year 8 and 9 students will be completing their subject choices for courses online so that we can determine the best fit of subjects for 2017 based on student choice. We are committed to helping students make the right choices for subjects and were very happy to see so many parents on the night so involved in the process.
