Our student MyGymea App team presented last week to school visitors and the developers of our student organisational app. The App that is available as an iPhone App, android App or available through the web, allows students to see their own personal details with respect to their timetable, homework, notes and reminders. The functionality of the App was an accumulation of ideas put together by students at Gymea and the next version will include a range of ideas that our students have come up with since it’s launch.
For parents, the application allows access under the same login via the web or even through the app on their own phone or device. Seeing your child’s timetable and the work they are uploading and setting as homework helps with the understanding of student workload, commitments and deadline.
The App is called MyGymea and can be downloaded through apple or through google play. The web link to the application is http://web3.gymea-h.schools.nsw.edu.au/security/login/
Each student has a department user name and password which is used to access computers and the wireless network at school. The same password is used to access MyGymea and the school’s online learning platform, Moodle.
